I have a nail stuck under the agitator in the washer. the nail head is in one of the little holes in the tub.?

usualy, there is a nut at the top of the agitator that will unscrew and let you lift it up. you may find other things under there too!

needle nose pliers? or remove agitator by taking top of agitator off in most models of washers?then remove nail?
get a magnet duhhhhh
Turn washer upside down and shake.
