Quickbrownfox...I think you have hit the nail on the head...?

just reading one of your answers and it says the McCanns were 'drinking every night with LOCALS in a bar' In which case when you are on holiday people see you in the daytime around the resort and on the beach with your kids and then in the evening the kids are not with you!!! It doesn't take a genious to realise that the kids must be left alone in their room. So I think the McCanns made a terrible mistake of doing the same thing every night and going to the same place. I think whoever took Madeleine knew she was left alone.Quickbrownfox...I think you have hit the nail on the head...?
I thought we'd moved on from believing the theory she was taken since the Portuguese police say there's no evidence to support the McCann's story of the intruder coming through the windows? They left the patio doors open, Madeleine woke up, wanted her parents, went out to find them, hence the dogs tracing her scent to the local supermarket.

If she was 'taken' why take the child sleeping in the middle, as she was? Would it not be easier to take one of the twins. And how did the twins sleep through it all, unless the McCann's gave them a 'little something' to 'help' them sleep? I don't understand how three small children would all go to sleep to a routine anyway. When my two were that young, if they were ever in the same room there'd be no way I could possibly guarantee they would both fall asleep at a given time since they would be too distracting for each other, talking and laughing.Quickbrownfox...I think you have hit the nail on the head...?
according to the Portuguese police there's no evidence of the shutters being forced, but of course the McCann's hampered the investigation initially by lying about having left the patio doors open ...

the person that took maddie did know she was alone. apparently it was very organised and planned. they watched the family for a few days
er yeah! ive thought that all along
your right.
molly p....you took the words right out of my mouth
mollyp spot on!

Does no one wonder why the McCanns don't look overly bothered and can easily get through their day? I think they know either where she is or what has happened to her.
Why in Gods name would an illegal adoption ring snatch a talking, fully aware 4 year old with a very distinctive eye feature to sell for adoption when she is sleeping between 2 non verbalising anonymous looking, equally blonde 2 year olds?? That just doesn't make any sense at all. People want to adopt BABIES not 4 year olds who would keep asking questions about their real family.

As for a paedophile snatching her from her bed - hello??? Paedophiles do not like to draw attention to themselves - in 99% of cases they get their prey by grooming and abusing children who are close to them and their family... very, very occasionally one will snatch a child who appears opportunistically in their path, but to plan a kidnapping of a tourist child in a high priced resort? How likely is that?

It was the McCanns themselves who spawned the abduction scenarios - they insisted right from the start that the child had been taken and have continued to assert that this is the case, despite their apparently being no evidence to support that scenario... Why, when she discovered her daughter missing, did Kate McCann run back to the restaurant screaming 'They've taken Madelaine'? You've gone out for dinner and returned to find a child missing - who's first assumption would be kidnap?
