Head valve nail?

i was tighting my screws that bolt the head valve cover down to the head. and i broke one of the nails off. will it be ok with that one broken nail? or will oil leak from the head? and how do i get the half broken nail out of the head? thankyouHead valve nail?
yes it will leak .Take the cover all the way off if you can't turn the bolt you will have to use a reverse drill bit to get it out, start at a very small size to keep from damaging thr threadsHead valve nail?
sounds like you broke the bolt that holds the valve cover on if you take off the valve cover you should be able to see the broken bolt the threads are 1/4 20 if the threads of the bolt are showing some you might get the bolt out by turning the threads of the broken bolt with pliers.if you tighten the valve cover bolts to tight you will warp the valve cover and could possibly leak more only have to tighten hand tight..if cant get out this way sears sells easy outs and the right size drill bits to remove the broken bolt....
WHICH ONE IS IT: SCREW, BOLT OR NAIL? IF YOU MEAN YOU BROKE THE HEAD OFF THE SHAFT OF THE VALVE COVER BOLT, YOU WILL MOST LIKELY NEED TO USE A VICE GRIPS TO GET THE BROKEN SHAFT OUT OF THE HEAD, OR A DRILL PIECE TO REMOVE IT.
