Does Dr. Thomas Sowell pretty much hit the nail on the head in his column?

Almost! He states that ';Politicians tell you they are working to solve the problem but are not'; He is correct but he fails to Add that The Politicians cannot solve the problem because they are to busy creating it!! The People and the Corporations will solve the problem if the Darn Govt. interventionist would just get out of the way. The Government has no Business Messing with ';Private Enterprise'; Only Socialist Governments do that!

There is a phrase there about people being interested in Facts! No Most people nowadays are interested in Slogans and Catch phrases attached to 30 second sound bites. Fact and truth do not enter into their minds. Where are the independent thinkers of America. People must stop and look at Facts.

Great Article!!

Proud VetDoes Dr. Thomas Sowell pretty much hit the nail on the head in his column?
Most certainly! I first became acquainted with Thomas back in 1995 when I bought his book, ';Vision of the Annointed: Self-Congratulations as a Basis for Social Policy.'; Go buy it!

Here's a man I could sit with at the kitchen table for a week and not once get bored. Yes, I like him alot.

Thanks again. The article was very refreshing, and as always he pulls away the veil on the irrelevance of evidence.

Shalom
Sowell always hits the nail on the head.

If you haven't already, read his autobiography ';A Personal Odyssey';. Not too long and very easy to read. A must read for all of the affirmative action defeatists who think politicians and pandering are their ticket to a better life.
He usually does.

If you want to read a brilliant book of his, read ';Basic Economics';.

I promise that it is not as dry as it sounds, and you will thank me for it later. Guaranteed.
Yeah, he's great on economics.
He usually does.

luv jak
All I can say is, wow!
