What I'm trying to ask is when your hair grows, where does the new hair come from? Does the new hair come from the head, or the ends? If you are not sure, and you have/had your hair died before, you can find out the answer easily. If you had black hair and you died it brown, and month later, did you see black hair closer to your head or the ends of your hair? If the black hair is closer to your head that means that new hair grows from your head.

That used to happen to me but what you can try is using a dandruff-fighting shampoo or even try to deep condition and don't keep scratching your head nomatter hoe itchy it gets its bad for your scalp
It's probably build up of products that you use...Shampoo, conditioner, hair spray, whatever...Make sure you get all of it out!

I am a 30 + crossdrsser and i get my nails professionaly done and i have gone to makeup school and hair styling school. I don't just dress up to look like a truck driver in a dress. I most of the time pass for a real female when out shopping and such.this brings me all the joy in the world. I was just wondering how females primarily feel about this as I am heterosexual. I suggest you see your GP as this could alopecia which is far more common than one would think. It tends to be stress related though in some instances the medical profession do not know how it happens. I think it happened to Gail Porter, though on a far more extreme level.

There is no way this has anything to do with the length of your finger nails. Sounds like you have voltage running through your plumbing. Try adjusting the shower head before you turn on the water. Or get a rubber mat to stand on. Better yet call an electrician.

(Apperantly, she's tried it, smells tons better than the usual oven cleaner.)





The girl that cut my hubby's hair suggested American Crew's Sport Tea Tree Shampoo. It seems to be doing the trick.





Because your hair is in the way, the dead skin cells don't always come out like they're supposed to- make sure you're scrubbing your scalp when you shampoo and rinse thoroughly!! That should help, too.

If he hit your head, you would, seriously, get some brain damage, and if he aimed it at your temple, you will definately become unconscious. if he hit you in your shoulder, he would definately break your shoulder.
My friend, if you got hit full on, it pass though your head, and probably no amount of surgery could save you.





Your arm wouldn't fly off, it would dangle attached by only the broken bones and a couple of veins.

They won't affect x-rays or CT. You should talk to a doctor and see if you have OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). Those are classic symptoms.
Not that I know of, but ask your doctor. There is a name for this condition and seeing a psychologist could help you work through whatever it is that makes your want to pick.

You don't say how old you are, but I am going to tell you two reason's my wife had migraines at a young age, no make that three. First and foremost was birthday control pills. When I had her change the brand from what she was taking, the headaches went away. Later on, a few years later, she started again. I had her go to the Doctors and have a pap smear and her female hormones levels checked. They were low, When that was taken care of, the headaches went away. Then on day she decided to quit drinking Coke Cola. She started with bad headaches, not migraines, but almost. I went to the store. bought her some Coke Cola, gave her a can or two, and the headaches went away. I was an EMT and at the time was studying to be a Paramedic. I read a lot of medical books and learned about medicines and the like, is why I had some knowledge of her conditions. I don't know if any of these things would apply to you, but if they do, you might try what my wife did. At times she would hurt so much that she became nauseated, and have to lay in bed to get relief. I don't believe it is a tumor, I tend to agree with your Doctor, but am surprised the Doctor didn't suggest some testing to make sure. I wish for you the very best young lady and hope you find what's causing these awful headaches, but nothing serious. Good Luck. Sounds like migraines. Take Excedrin or get a prescription of imitrex or zomig to alleviate them.

it's probably not dandruff. just be sure and scrub your scalp when you wash (don't just run it through your hair and rinse), then when you get out, brush it with a brush for about 30 seconds, even if it's short. if you get dry flakes after that it's dandruff.. but i think you just need to wash your hair better, esp if it's creamy?!?

Wash your hair every day with a shampoo called Head %26amp; Shoulders. It's not expensive (Costco sells it; that just shows you how cheap it is) and it's supposed to get rid of dandruff and works really well. Some of my classmates, both male and female, use it even though they don't have dandruff because it smells good. Plus, it's easy to wash out.





Tips to get rid of this condition:

- Wash your hair every night.


- Don't sweat unnecessarily.

I have been having this conversation with a few people I work with. I am pretty good on tipping I must say, but a girl I work with told me she doesn't feel she should have to tip when their clearly making more money then us. She happens to be married to a wealthy family, and at first I disagreed with her but then I got to thinking about something once my own stylist complained that her clients don't tip well enough and some not at all. She has black/white clients and stated that the blacks ones don't know how to tip, and she's black but the chick I work with is white. After hearing her say this, it sort of irritated me because people are having hard times and although I tip very well, i I sometimes won't even get my nails done, or my hair if I'm low on cash and can't afford a tip. I'm just looking for thoughts, this is not meant to offend anyone but seriously I want to hear thoughts on this. Before digging into this I always felt like I HAD tip and not just average, at the least 20% percent but I realize I'm staying in the dog house while others are moving up. My husband thinks if they chose the profession that is their job but has decided waiters/waitresses definitely deserve a tip.

Tipping is outmoded and unregulated. It is really just extortion. We are made to feel guilty by being told that those who serve in these industries don't make as much as the service costs because they have to pay for supplies, bills, etc., but face it, they are still making more than most of us because these are luxury services and they charge exorbitant amounts to begin with.





Every one and their brother thinks they deserve to be tipped, from the hair stylist to the coffee guy, to the mail man. No one leaves a tip for me in the bed pan when they leave the hospital; I'm a nurse, and sometimes my duties include saving someone's life, but no one is tipping me.





As to the restaurant industry, they need to pay their employees a real wage.





Most people that receive tips are usually offended at anything less than 25% (I know right, but I have had this discussion with many in service industries), because the nature of tipping is to perceive that you have done outstanding service and warrant something more; when it is usually for what would be considered average work, in other words they did what they were supposed to do.
All those people generally don't get the entire amount charged the customer, they get a tiny fraction of that, unless they are cutting your hair, doing your nails or giving the massage in their own home. The shop or salon they work for gets the fee and gives the employee (the service giver) a portion of the charge. I agree these people should not need to be tipped but that's the way business works in the US anyway.

I am a licensed manicurist. Go to your local beauty supply store like Sally's. Buy 100% pure acetone. DON'T PUT THE ACETONE IN THE MICROWAVE!!! Instead put it in a bowl. Then place this bowl in a bigger bowl of very very hot water, the actone will heat up this way. Soak your nails in the pure acetone. It will take a while. But some wood cuticle sticks to keep scraping the acetone every 5 minutes or so to help speed up the process. I had the same problem not so long ago..... if you go back to where you got your nails done, they should provide the soak off solution and a manicure bowl to put it in, basically you rest your hand in the bowl ,and they just disolve off.... but i pulled mine off myself! wish i didnt my nails are so painfull now!!
I had this same problem a few weeks ago, i tried everything and they wouldn't budge so my mum brought 'get em off; artificial nail remover' which is strong acetone, i soaked them in a glass bowl for about 30 mins (maybe longer) until they came off.


But remember to open your window or have suitable ventilation because i kept my windows shut and nearly died.

I'd do it at a nail salon if I were you. I don't want to scare you, but I think you should be prepared to have bad nails for a while. I think acrylics are quite damaging to your nails - i wish someone had told me before I got them!!





My nails have been splitting all over, so be sure to get some nail hardener/treatments and nail glue to fix any tears. Also keep bandaids on you when you are out, so you can patch up any torn nails, so they don't catch on anything.





I had the acrylics removed and have been growing my nails out for a couple of months and can't wait until they have fully grown out (once they take the acrylics off, there's a residue left on your nails, so you can monitor when they have fully grown out)! As great as they looked, I will never get them again!

I usually just get a bowl of warm water and put a bit of nail polish remover in and sit with your hands in there for like 10 - 15 minutes and they should come off easily.
if they're arcrylic acetone will do the trick. pour some in2 a bowl, heat in the microwave for just a few seconds, soak you nails (may take a while 2 soften, but its better for your nails than tearing them off) Good luck

I think it's a smart political move on his part because Al-Arabiya and Al Jazeera are the two major networks in the Middle East that were focusing on US politics and the Inauguration last week. If he hopes to hit the ground running and make any significant inroads in the Middle East peace process, it makes sense for him to get his message out through the ME media outlets that have been favorable to US politics. Before he even won the primary, Obama was sending a clear message on international policy, and it was basically isolationist - as isolationist as you can be in such a globalized world, at any rate. That made him enormously popular among both our allies - who can expect us to hand the baton of international influence over to them - and our enemies, who percieve disengagement as weakness.

Basically there are stem cells at the junction of a hair follice and muscle fiber that cause ongoing hair production. These cells are different in different areas of the body. The eyebrows, eyelashes, arms, legs and pubic region have faster cycles... a growing stage of a few months vs. the scalp which has a growing stage of a few years. Someone nailed me in the head two days ago; And I've had a continuous awful headache?

A friend went to throw a baseball; and guess who's head was behind him, mine! He accidentally hit me on the side of the head with full extreme power. It hurt extremely bad but I got an instant headache which turned more into a throbbing migraine that has lasted two full days. I've been very dizzy and my ears have occasionally ringing. I've tried Motrin and Tylenol but nothing seems to help.

Please have either a family member or friend take you to the emergency department to rule out the bad stuff. If it is a concussion, they can give you medication to help with the pain. It's a concussion. At a cheerleading competition, I was going to get a drink, but talking to someone at the same time. I turned my head very quickly, and ran into the water fountain that was built into the wall. My head banged on the metal, and everyone in the gym heard it. I got an immediate migraine, and it took two weeks to go away. I should have gone to the doctor and gotten a concussion test, but I didn't want to risk missing practice for the next competition. That was two months ago, and my head still hurts. I get headaches every day. Go get it checked out. Don't be dumb like me. (:

Why are there grimes in my finger nails when I scratch my head or skin?

Well, if you have not bathe for sometime, dead skin cells, dirt, dust and whatever that can be attached to your skin will probably be there. When you scratch your head/skin, these stuff (should be what you called grime) will collect under your finger nails. If you perspire a lot, you might have more. Have you thought of collecting the grime under your nails in a jar and see how long you need to fill it up? I suggest you try it with a 50ml container and slowly upgrade to larger ones.Why are there grimes in my finger nails when I scratch my head or skin?
Ask the hairdresser; when you go to get your hair washed before the haircut, they rub your head to get rid of those things (they're absent after my appointment), so ask!!

Small puncture wound from nail in back of head?

Yesterday at around 11:00 PM I was in a treehouse and on the way down lifted my head up into a nail that was sticking through a piece of wood. It went into the back of my head and it seemed to be just a small puncture wound. I felt a little dizzy and threw up immediately afterwards. It didn't really hurt and I don't really think it went deep in all. It was a small hole in the back of my head and bled a small amount for about 5 minutes. I did not clean or try to disinfect the wound.


It's 5:00 today and it's been closed up for a while now. It is tender and I can feel the spot in the back of my brain. I have a slight headache. There's a small, red bump where the puncture was but like I said it's completely closed up. I haven't had any weird visual loss or memory loss or anything cognitive like that.


If it's tetanus then I'm really not worried because I had a booster shot in the last five years (I think) and even if I didn't I will be able to recognize those symptoms.WatshuldIdo?Small puncture wound from nail in back of head?

If you feel faint, dizzy or throw up again you should probably call the doctor. If you're sure that you've had all of your boosters for tetanus then you should be OK.





Clean the wound with warm water and antiseptic. If there is someone else with you get them to see just how big the hole really is!





As with all head injuries, if you are in doubt, give your local hospital a call for advice on whether or not they should see you.

Its a jolly good movie alright. Totally off subject: my favorite part is when the Roman soldiers chase him up a tower and he is trapped. He has no choice, so he jumps, lands in a passing flying saucer, goes on a wild chase, and the sacuer crashes right outside the tower he fell from.

I haven't seen the movie for a long time, but from memory it also highlighted some of the ills in society that are caused by blindly following a dogma
In its parody of denominationalism, yes! However, he was way off base when it came to the true religion as stated in the bible and there is a special place in hell waiting for the movie's writer, director, and probably the entire Monty Python crew!
