Myth is an attempt to narrate a whole human experience, of which the purpose is too deep, going too deep in the blood and soul, for mental explanation or description.

i think the notion that anything is 'too deep' to be worth talking about is dangerous nonsense.





lawrence was a fine poet, but the notion that it is a good idea to lose your virginity with someone whose name you don't know (the virgin and the gypsy) is just stupid.
