Head of nail broke, small tiny piece will not hammer down into the wood?

How does one fix this?Head of nail broke, small tiny piece will not hammer down into the wood?
use nail punch or another nail to drive it down. then putty the hole. go for itHead of nail broke, small tiny piece will not hammer down into the wood?
Go the the hardware store and get a nail set. That will make the least amount of mess. or you can take a 16d nail and file the tip flat the size of a pencil lead and use that.

good luck
If you have a pair of Vise Grip Pliers, you can lock those onto the end and pull it out. Otherwise do you own a Mill B.(I won't say it people!) File? if so,file the end of the nail . Byee
take a dremel tool with a grinder and grind it below the surface a little and refinish the wood or take a pair of cuting pliers and cut it below the surface
Use a nail set punch to drive it deeper in to the wood.
If you can not pull it and it won't hammer down there are a couple options. 1 grind or file down as close as possible then with a nail punch hit it to dimple it into the wood, fill with wood putty and sand. 2 Take a small wood chisel make a small grove and nail punch the nail into grove, wood fill and sand.
You need to countersink it. Use a nail punch positioned over the nail and hit that with the hammer.
