its not bad,rather small,it doesnt seem to bother him,should I just leave it and let it come out itself or should I try to take it out?My cat has another cats nail in his head?
Pull it out and wash the spot with peroxide,then apply some Neosporin.It will be OK.Also,if he got it from fighting,if he isn't neutered,getting him done will stop or drastically cut back on the fighting,which can cause serious abscesses and diseases and contribute to the cat overpopulation problem.My cat has another cats nail in his head?
If you can see it and easily grab it just pull it out and get it over with.
...it's probably a nail hull (from other cat) lodged between the skull and skin. if your cat has not been to the vet lately, now might be a good time to go. you could remove the nail and treat the wound site with topical ointments, but if kitty gets an infection on the head due to the other cat...things could turn grim...FAST. at least CALL your vet
You should take it out...VERY carefully, and if you don't think you can handle it, you should just leave it and make sure nothing happens to it. You should take it to the vet as soon as possible because even if you take it out there might be some germs or infections in it.
take to vet if you can not get it out with tweezers and peroxide.
Pull it out carefully.
