Did Alan Greenspan hit the nail on the head?

';McCaskill said eliminating congressional earmark spending 鈥?estimated at $17 billion annually 鈥?cannot offset McCain's proposed tax cuts.';

More proof that McCain doesn't understand the economy?

Adolf.. Get a clue and read the story.

';Using borrowed funds to finance tax cuts';

The people saying McCain makes sound sense are dwindling.. what's left is a bunch of evaders and deniers. Did Alan Greenspan hit the nail on the head?
{Palin, in an interview with ABC News anchor Charles Gibson, drew a distinction between ';earmark abuse'; and the spending requests that she has authorized for the state of Alaska. Gibson, noting that the state had asked for money to study the genetics of harbor seals and mating habits of crabs, asked: ';Isn't that exactly the kind of thing that John McCain is objecting to?';

Palin replied that those requests have been submitted through state fish and game and wildlife agencies and by state universities.

';Those research requests did come through that system, but wanting it to be in the light of day, not behind closed doors, with lobbyists making deals with Congress to stick things in there under the public radar,'; she said. ';That's the abuse that we're going to stop.';}

McCain's reduction of ';earmarks'; may help reduce ';riders'; hidden in other bills, but as Palin pointed out, there are still going to be requests for Federal dollars.

That is going to put to put them all ';in the light of day'; and increase the number of bills before Congress exponentially.

So...now are red states going to get their requests rubber stamped, while blue states don't?

Is the number of bills that cross his desk going to swamp his veto pen.

Is he gonna just refuse to give States money for legitimate programs so he can give it to the wealthy instead.

McCain has lost it.
I am having a real problem with McCain, he is out of touch and has no idea how to do much of anything.Personally I think we are screw-- no matter who we pick. Unless we can convince the majority to vote Independent we are in for a hell of a ride.
Yes, and here's more

Alan Greenspan has a better understand of the financial health of this country then those in Washinton DC today. Too bad he's not running for the presidency.
Since his tax cuts probably won't result in and tax revenue decrease there will be nothing to offset. We will have greater tax revenues and a spending reduction YEAH
McCain doesn't understand himself.
From the sound of some of Greenspan's comments, I think he is a lefty.
did not know McCain was going to propose such a large tax cut. Got my vote
Do you realize that cutting taxes actually increases the federal governments revenues?
